Each Pen is individually hand crafted in my workshop in East Yorkshire (no copy/duplicator machines are used) the pen is then hand assembled and checked prior to sale. The wood used to make the pens is sourced locally and worldwide; particular attention is paid to the grain characteristics of different types of wood for maximum impact. Where possible the wood used is sourced from renewable sources or from off-cuts from furniture manufacturers.

The wood used in making these pens and boxes are from the annual trimmings of the olive groves in Bethlehem, some of the trees have been growing for 2000-3000 yrs.East Yorkshire Bog Oak Collection
The wood used for making these pens was sourced from a farm in East Yorkshire, Bog-wood is wood from trees that have been buried in peat bogs and preserved from decay by the acidic and anaerobic bog conditions, sometimes for hundreds or even thousands of years.
